When an occasion calls for a bit of the bubbly, it’s the Tanqueray French 75 or nothing. Invented by legendary barman Harry MacElhone at Harry's New York Bar in Paris, there’s a reason this Continental cocktail’s been a classic since World War I. Shall we raise a glass? Absolument oui.
COCKTAIL TIP
In drinks such as the French 75 that will be lengthened with additional ingredients (in this case, sparkling wine), a “quick shake” (5-8 seconds) chills and combines our core ingredients without overdiluting them.
Ingredients
1 unit of alcohol per serve
EQUIPMENT
Method - 1 / 5
Build 1 oz Tanqueray London Dry Gin, 1 oz Lemon Juice, and .5 oz Sugar Syrup in a shaker.
Method - 2 / 5
Fill shaker with cubed ice and give a quick shake.

Double strain into a champagne flute.
Method - 4 / 5
Top up with 1.5 oz Sparkling Wine.

Garnish with a lemon twist.
